Spring break for me!

So this past week I have not been working. Well, I should re-phrase that. I wasn't working at the school, but I working on cleaning the house, doing tons of laundry and PAINTING! I finished a painting that I am donating to my schools silent auction fundraiser. I going to have a few other pieces finished by tomorrow and I have begun to scan in some of my daily paintings. It's a very exciting time to be me!

This is also the weekend of Austin's biggest music festival - SXSW (South by South West or as the locals have said "South by"). I have been more interested in painting than music, but tonight and tomorrow JP and I are going to hit up some of the free shows. I figure next year we'll get more involved. I was just too exhausted from school to really get excited about it this year.

New news!

I know, I know. Epic fail, again. Something major happens and I have failed to mention it here, until now.

We bought a car! It's a new-to-us car, but we're happy. It is really lovely being able to run out grab some groceries or to do whatever without having to think about bus times or trying to get a ride.

Side note: I am still painting like crazy and working at the Montessori school - I have the week of SXSW off, so I will be doing some fun musical exploring that week and hope to paint some of my adventures.
